We adored Kelly and Chris’s romantic coral wedding vision, and we absolutely love that Grey Likes Weddings does too! Kelly and Chris were married last June at Veritas Winery in Afton, Virginia. Although the images from Jodi Miller Photography look picture perfect, the weather was not our best friend on the day. But that is one of the fabulous things about holding your wedding at Veritas, the rain plan in the main ballroom is beautiful, and they have a backup generator! The happy couple and their guests didn’t even know we lost power during the evening!
The wedding was a complete labor of love for the bride, who dreamed up the most gorgeous pink and coral whimsical with a large dose of southern flair! We loved helping Kelly execute her dream wedding! Southern Blooms created the most magical florals, and Goodheart Design was a revelation with her custom watercolor letterpress invitations and paper goods.

We absolutely adore this sneak peek from our recent wedding styled shoot with Adam Barnes Photography! Originally inspired by “The Art of the Flower” exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, this styled shoot incorporated bright colors, organic paint-like textures and beautiful blooms by Whimsical Floral Design. The Market at Grelen was the perfect backdrop to mix art and nature together in a romantic and whimsical way! We cannot wait to share more!
Special thanks to our industry friends for collaborating with us:
This bohemian wedding inspiration shoot was truly inspired by the venue. We visited Lionheart Resorts and absolutely fell in love with it’s natural beauty and picturesque landscape. Sprawling over 300 acres in Cumberland, Virginia, Lionheart Resorts offers lush woodlands, beautiful campgrounds and wide-open fields. And some pretty cute llamas!
We chose a palette of bold jewel tones – golden yellow, fuchsia and emerald – combined with delicate, soft pinks and purples. We thought using these rich tones would look gorgeous against the warm, natural colors of the environment. We layered patterns, natural textures and other organic details to express a bohemian spirit that is wildly elegant.
Amelia Johnson was there to capture all the beauty of the day, and we are so in love with her gorgeous photographs! We are beyond excited that the shoot is featured on Style Me Pretty today – view the full feature here.
One of our favorite locations on the property is the old barn, perfect for a ceremony. The space offers an elegant and rustic beauty, and we crafted a fun, colorful backdrop to fit the bohemian style.
With spring right around the corner, we have been daydreaming of warmer weather and brighter colors. As an ode to winter though, we are reminiscing about our late winter romance styled shoot with Elisa Bricker Photography and an incredible team of vendors from a few years back. Set outdoors at the historic Berkeley Planation, this shoot exuded enchantment. We chose a beautiful palette of soft pinks and golds that added to the dreaminess of the day.
Jenn of Nature Composed created the most gorgeous and luscious floral arrangements with pops of pink combined with purple and cream hues. We decorated one of our absolute favorite wedding tablescapes with delicate pink and gold rentals from Stonegate Rentals and Classic Party Rentals and the sweetest french macaroons (oh la la!).
We absolutely adore the touches of gold, like the bride’s stunning Monique Lhuillier dress. The skirt looked like the most beautiful gold confetti! On the hazy grey winter day, the sparkling golds woven throughout really added an extra dose of romance and elegance.
Take a sneak peek into spring while remembering the best of winter with this pink and gold wedding inspiration. See the full feature on Snippet & Ink!
Is there a better way to ring in the new year than with a spectacular wedding? We don’t think so! James and Welsy’s New Year’s Eve wedding last year was one for the books!
Welsy is a friend and super talented hair stylist at Elle Style Studio so we were beyond excited to help her plan her big day! Their midnight festivity was romantic, glamorous and so much fun! With the Bolling Haxall House in Richmond, VA as their backdrop, guests were thrust back in time with the house’s art deco designs, vintage furniture, and glittering chandeliers. The couple incorporated their personal styles into the big day – urban glam with a vintage twist. To complement with the 1920′s romantic tone, simple flowers in muted pinks and ivories and candlelight were sprinkled throughout the ceremony and reception.
The endless supply of sparkle, sips of bubbly, and the countdown to midnight catered to the New Year holiday – and it perfectly reflected the couple’s fun nature and high energy.
We’re kicking off the week with a healthy dose of elegant farm wedding inspiration. Inspired by Ralph Lauren, we sought to capture the designer’s natural elegance, sophistication and timelessness in this styled shoot. Classic styling, layers and layers of pretty texture and an equestrian flair abound in these gorgeous images by Adam Barnes Photography at Mount Ida Farm in Charlottesville, Virginia.
